Grass Markers

Please keep in mind that some cemeteries may have rules and restrictions on the type and size of memorial you may set at your cemetery, so please check with your cemetery sexton or cemetery association prior to making arrangements.

Grass markers, also known as flat or flush markers, are thin granite memorials that are designed to sit flush with the ground. Grass markers may be any length and width, but are typically four inches thick. Many cemeteries that offer perpetual care may require the use of a grass marker. These markers make it easier for cemetery maintenance crews to care for the grounds because the markers are thin enough for lawn mowers and other ground maintenance equipment to mow over without damaging the stone.

A standard-sized individual grass marker will usually measure 2'0" (24") in length, 1'0" (12") in width and 4" thick. A companion grass marker, which is a grass marker for two people, will normally measure 4'0" (48") in length, 1'0" (12") in width and 4" thick. Again, these are standard sizes, and you may choose to go smaller or larger.

Please keep in mind that all monuments are washed thoroughly after setting. The memorials below may appear darker or discolored because the memorial was not completely dry when the photo was taken.
